There is no “I” in Teamwork. That is a statement we’ve all heard before. There is no “I” in Teamwork. And Ministry is nothing if not teamwork. We are called by the Lord to work together as One Body. A Body of many interrelated and interconnected individual parts that nourish and strengthen the Whole. That being said, I’d like to introduce myself and my wife as a part of the Faith Ministry Team.
My name is Bob Stone and I serve as Faith’s pastor. The daily work I’m called to couldn’t be accomplished without the loving support of my wife Sandy. She’s been my first love for over 36 years and we’ve been married for 33 years this August. We have three boys, Mike, Dan and Travis, three daughter in laws Jennifer, Sadie and Sunny and three grandchildren David, Caleb and Jaden. We built our first home on the Ft. Hall Reservation, of which I and the boys are members. In fact Dan and Travis are very active and work for the Tribe at Ft. Hall. Sandy is an accomplished artist with her mediums being oil and pastel . She has won numerous professional awards including Best of Show at the Snake River Showcase in Lewiston. In fact, Sandy designed the 2007 Synod wide logo which, with the work of Faith’s quilting ladies, was transformed into a beautiful banner which is proudly displayed today.
We’ve served in Ministry since 1999, beginning with a multi-point parish in Mountain North Dakota. In 2002, we served the Clearwater Parish, a 4 point parish in Northern Idaho. And today, we proudly call Faith our home church. We have been truly blessed with such a supportive, talented and giving church that we begin each day with “Thank You Lord for the people we serve beside”!
My work experience includes working with my Dad as a “Tinner” in Sheet Metal at our family business, 9 years as a charge Nurse at the Ft. Hall Indian Health Service Clinic and the past 9 years in Ministry. It’s interesting how the Lord will use past job experiences in ‘building” pastors. Please come in for a visit sometimes, you’ll always find a welcoming office and the coffee pot on!
